I’ll be honest with you – I used to feel a little guilty reaching for Anthropologie when there’s a Target right down the street. But here’s the thing: I keep coming back, because the pieces I’ve found there are the ones I actually wear. Over and over. The ones that feel like me. At this point in my life, I’m far more interested in investing in quality than accumulating a bunch of one-offs – and when you break it down by cost per wear, Anthropologie makes a lot of sense.
So today I’m sharing my absolute favorite Anthropologie summer clothing finds – the pieces I’ve genuinely been reaching for all season. Some of these I’ve talked about before. Some you’ve been asking about since I shared them last month. All of them are worth it.
JELLY SHOES
Jelly shoes are everywhere right now, and once you try the right pair, you’ll completely understand why. The ones I’m obsessed with have a V-cut across the top of the foot – which is genuinely so flattering and almost a little elegant, if a shoe can be that. They also have actual cushioning inside, which means you can wear them for more than ten minutes without suffering. These come in multiple colors, but I went with the clear pair because it goes with literally everything in my closet. Sandals, sundresses, linen sets – clear jelly shoes are the great equalizer.
LINEN SKIRT
I did a whole Instagram carousel on this skirt, because I simply could not contain myself. It reminds me of something you’d wear in Nantucket – which, for the record, is a place I’ve never actually been, but have decided is the dreamiest destination in my imagination. Every time I wear this skirt I feel beautiful, put together, and effortlessly chic. And yet – it’s linen. It’s lightweight. It folds up small so it’s totally packable. The colors are so feminine and pretty.
Yes, it’s on the pricier side. But this is the kind of skirt that’s going to live in your closet for years and never feel dated. Worth every penny.
RIBBED MUSCLE TEE
Since I first shared this top last month, it has come up over and over again – and I get it. It fills a gap in your wardrobe you didn’t even know you had. It’s not a full baggy tee, not a tank top – it’s right in that sweet spot in between. The ribbed texture elevates it instantly, which is just something ribbed fabric does without trying. I love the green, and I also grabbed the black and white striped. Genuinely cannot go wrong with any color option.
One note: if you have a longer torso, this runs a touch cropped. I have a short torso and it fits me perfectly with zero belly showing, so take that for what it’s worth!
TOBIE DRESS
I have talked about the Tobie dress so many times that I’ve lost count, and I will keep talking about it because it deserves it. The stretch is what makes this dress magical – it moves with you, it fits beautifully, and the buttons are full-functioning. The waist comes in just right, the sleeve length is perfect, the structure is spot-on. This is a dress you can wear to your kid’s soccer game and then to a wedding without changing and not feel out of place at either.
They have some gorgeous new prints right now – I have a navy and cream that I reach for constantly, and a gingham that I adore. The navy and cream is the classic, forever version. If you don’t have a Tobie dress yet, this summer is your moment.
BOXY BUTTON-DOWN
This top is one of those pieces that just works without requiring any effort from you. Throw it on, tuck it loosely, leave it open – whatever you do, it looks intentional and put together. I love the sleeve length, and there are these little details on the back that make it feel special rather than just another top. I have it in pink and yellow and I wear both of them constantly, especially on days when I want to feel a little more dressed up without actually being uncomfortable. No sucking in. No fidgeting. Just a really good, flattering shirt.
MAXI SKIRT
A great maxi skirt is a summer essential, and this one is exactly that. Sandals, sneakers, a tank top, a graphic tee, dressed up, dressed down – it works for all of it. I’ve even worn it as a swimsuit cover-up. The exact color I have isn’t available right now, but they have multiple colors and if I were picking up a second one, I’d go for the black or the new brown print, which is absolutely gorgeous.
SOMERSET DRESS
The Somerset dress deserves a shoutout even though I don’t have photos in the newer prints yet. It just launched in two new colors – a bright, cheerful one and the most stunning yellow I’ve seen in a long time. The Somerset is one of those dresses that is virtually universally flattering. Easy to wear, easy to style up or down, and it is never going out of style. If you’re looking for a dress that will never let you down, that’s the one.
