I’m convinced every great closet starts with one thing: a really good white tee.
Actually—scratch that. A few really good white tees. But if you can only do one, that is a great place to start!
Finding the best white t-shirts for women has honestly become a personal mission of mine since starting this account. Because when I find one that fits just right, washes well, and doesn’t go see-through after two wears…I wear it over and over again and tell everyone about it.

I don’t say this lightly—I love this white T-shirt almost as much as I love my own children!
This one has that perfectly lived-in, vintage feel that only gets better over time. The fit leans boxy and slightly oversized and isn’t cropped like the Walmart one. The pocket detail with the Ralph Lauren classic look, adds an extra little touch to what would normally be a standard tee. It’s one of those pieces you can throw on with jeans, skirts, or shorts. I like to style it both untucked and tucked in for an effortless look that works every time.
THE VIRAL AMAZON TANK (Garment-Friendly)
If you know, you know—this tank went viral for a reason.
It’s one of the few tanks that actually works with the new LDS garment top (if you’re looking for more options, my five favorite tanks for LDS garments are here). The straps are wide enough to provide coverage and the arm holes are cut just right, making it both functional and flattering.
It has a slightly cropped fit, so if you’re on the taller side, sizing up is a good idea for a bit more length, but it was true to size for me. It layers beautifully but is also a great stand alone piece. Did I mention it’s only $15?! Add this to your wardrobe rotation this summer. You won’t regret it.
ARITZIA INTERLOCK COTTON TEE
This is your cool girl white t-shirt.
What makes this one stand out is the fit. The sleeves are slightly longer and hit at just the right spot, to hang off the shoulder a bit. The fabric is thicker and it has a cinched waist, so the structure isn’t too boxy, just perfect. If you’ve ever purchased from Aritzia, you know the quality is unmatched. While it is more of an investment, it’s the kind of piece you’ll wear time and time again, making the cost per wear completely worth it.
NUUDS SEAMED TEE
I’m picky when it comes to fitted tees. Why? Because I don’t want anything too tight. Does anyone? However, I do regularly reach for this tee when I want something more fitted to go with certain outfits. Luckily, I was introduced to this brand last year and this seamed tee hit all of the high marks for a fitted white t-shirt.
It features subtle v-shaped seam lines up the back that creates a really snatching shape in all of the right places. Unlike many fitted tees that feel tight or uncomfortable and make me feel like I’m constantly having to suck it in, this one is designed in a way that feels supportive without being restrictive. Hallelujah!
It’s double-lined, so it’s not see-through, which means you don’t have to worry about layering underneath, which is great for summer. The quality is excellent, it washes well, and it comes in additional colors if you end up loving it as much as I do. I wear my true to size.
